THE ARTIST

Merseyside artist David Mason trained at Liverpool College of Art in the '60s and has worked in the area all his life.

After starting as a still life artist for Owen Owens and T.J.Hughes he worked as a graphic designer in a variety of jobs.

David spent many years with local newspapers before going freelance in Birkenhead and later at his home in Crosby. During these years he gained valuable experience in hitherto unexplored design applications such as product development, food packaging and digital technical illustration.

From time to time, throughout his life, he has painted mainly in gouache and watercolour. Now with the advent of Giclée digital print processes, he is able to produce small limited editions of his pictures very cost effectively.

Looking to market his work to specific interest groups and societies, David decided to start the Society Editions website, gallery, thus obviating the need for expensive brochures.
